Nurse Practitioners Week

This week, we honor nurse practitioners.  Our nurse practitioners are a critical part of our team, assisting our physicians with the diagnosis, management, and follow-up of our cancer patients. Today, we will highlight our Alliance Cancer Care nurse practitioners:

  • Kimberly Ellis began working at Alliance Cancer Care in 2012. She previously worked for Huntsville Hospital for 13 years, on the surgical floor and cardiac intensive care unit. During her time earning her master’s degree at the University of Alabama, she was introduced to the field of radiation oncology, at which time she discovered a passion for working with oncology patients. She works as a nurse practitioner for Dr. Hoyt A “Tres” Childs, III.

  • Sarah Joy Patterson-Webb has been with Alliance Cancer Care since 2014. She is a Nurse Practitioner holding dual certifications in adult and gerontology acute care from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She worked at Huntsville Hospital for 13 years as a critical care nurse in neurointensive care and a procedural nurse in interventional radiology, where she discovered her love of oncology patients. She currently works as a nurse practitioner with Dr. John F. “Jack” Gleason, Jr.

  • Stephanie Bailey is a Nurse Practitioner with Alliance Cancer Care. She started working with Alliance Cancer Care in 2021, after spending several years working as a nurse practitioner in an outpatient cardiology specialty group at UAB in Birmingham, AL. She is certified as an adult-gerontology adult nurse practitioner. At Alliance Cancer Care, Stephanie works with radiation oncologist, Harry James McCarty III, M.D.
