Elizabeth Falkenberg, MD

Radiation Oncologist

Dr. Beth Falkenberg is a board-certified radiation oncologist. She is a native of Huntsville and joined Alliance Cancer Care in 2005. Completing her undergraduate degree magna cum laude in Biochemistry at Auburn University, she then received her M.D. from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. Following medical school, her internship year was completed at Baptist Medical Centers in Birmingham, AL, and her residency training in Radiation Oncology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Falkenberg was involved in research using brachytherapy for gynecologic malignancies and Gamma Knife treatment of malignant metastatic brain tumors while at UAB, authoring several research publications.

Dr. Falkenberg is a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology, the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, the American College of Radiology, and the Madison County Medical Society. She serves as the current President of the Alabama Society of Radiation Oncologists.

She believes that a multidisciplinary approach and individualized cancer care are important for each patient. Dr. Falkenberg is committed to providing education, technologically advanced treatment, and comprehensive care to her patients. Her special interests include breast cancer and colorectal cancer, though she treats all types of adult cancers. She is active in community awareness and cancer education for patients, nurses, and other health care providers with numerous speaking engagements throughout the year. Dr. Falkenberg lives in Huntsville with her husband, Mark, and their four children (two boys and two girls).
